Description

Whilst many new minerals are described each year, seldom are they sent in such richness or instense colour.
A very small zone in Toms Phosphate quarry produced this remarkable specimen of rich golden crystals of IMA2009-047, the crystals not only make up the majority of the matrix both also line the many cavities in the specimen, rather all except for one. One cavity has agood spray of pinkish leucophosphite crystals.
This species was approved in September this year but is yey to be published. See Mindat for update. The proposed name is known and will be supplied to the successful bidder
