Description

Jeffrey Mine, Val-des-Sources, Estrie, Québec, Canada

Crystals on Matrix

Micromount (under 1cm)
Size:
0.8 × 0.6 × 0.4 cm
Description

This is a very small specimen with a few very small crystals of the rare mineral heazlewoodite. The largest and best formed crystal is shown near top center in the first photo. It spans about ¼ mm. You will need 30-60X to view it adequately.  I put an arrow on the specimen after photographing it to help you find the crystals.

The crystals in the micro photo are too small to show up in the full view photo and, in any case, they are on the end of the specimen. The dark blobs visible in that photo may, or may not be masses of heazlewoodite grains. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

Weight 0.2 oz (with MM case). Single item shipping weight 2.9 oz. Above 4 oz, there may be a nominal postage increase. Outside the USA, this could be sent in a padded envelope for $7.

Seller's terms and conditions

In addition to the standard terms and conditions, please note the following. Almost all IDs are visual. While in most cases the ID is obvious, there may be cases where it is not. If you are doubtful about a particular ID, please ask for more information. Or do not bid! Similarly, if you are not sure that the specimen meets your criteria, do not bid. I have tdone the best I can with the photos. Nevertheless, if you are not happy with a specimen for any reason, I will refund the bid price – but not the shipping costs (unless the fault is clearly mine) – if the specimen is returned. This policy applies even if analysis of the specimen shows that my ID was incorrect. When in doubt, ask - or don’t bid. Note that most crystals at MSH and Varennes are micros - even if on large specimens. Please pay attention to the stated sizes. Any customs duties, fees etc. are the responsibility of the buyer.
