Description

Diaspore is not really a rare mineral, but not oftenly seen on shows or in the internet - and larger, defined crystals are rare. Gem diaspore from this classic old locality in Turkey sets the standard for the species.

Here are two translucent, intergrown crystals out of a crystal breccia with adherent remainders of the matrix, from a classic find around 1980 at famous Selçuk, Muğla Province, Turkey.
