Description

Rhätizite is a colourless to grey variety of cyanite. This specimen is dark grey colored by graphite inclusions, as mentioned on the label (italian "tinto du grafite"). Comes with an old label of the italian enterpriser and collector Guiseppe Garbari (1863-1937, Trento, Italy). A nice example from a classic alpine locality, probably from the time around 1890-1900.
