Description

A mass of white crystalline pollucite with pearly luster on the cleavage faces. A locality 'Hill' does not exist, possible are Ryerson Hill Quarries, Paris or Cobble Hill Quarry, West Paris, both situated in Oxford Co.

Comes with beautiful old label of the Mineralien-Niederlage (Mineral repository) of the Freiberg mining college, Saxony, Germany. In the hand of Wilhelm Maucher, who was Faktor in 1904-1909.

Pollux = pollucite, Dana 6th, 343 (1892).
