Description

Old-time specimen from the famous bohemian garnet occurrences: Dark red cystals of pyrope up to 0.7 cm frozen in an opalized serpentine-matrix (a peridotite xenolithe now altered to serpentine). The specimen shows the typical weathering to beige-brown.

A Czech classic from old Dr. Krantz stock, comes with antique notice label.
