Description

This 8cm crystal and a natural wonder to me- a masterpiece in its own right for what the quartz lacks in color and clarity is made up in the sheer volume, size and placement of the analcime crystals. The superior feature of being a completely undamaged floater is really valuable on many levels. The transparent trapezohedron shaped crystals are super lustrous and sparkle brightly against the amethyst included quartz behind them.

A fascinating characteristic which defines the timing is that the analcime have the highest concentration where the natural break happened when the quartz came off its host matrix and here the crystals were able to anchor themselves and as the mineralization progressed it became increasingly easier for more to attach themselves up the quartz crystals vertical faces.

There are many red flakes of lepidocrocite present at the base area.

Unfortunatly there is a fleabite on the termination, other contact areas are natural and have recrystallized over.
