Description

I found this piece in autumn 2019 in a marl fissure. It was full of soil. The minerals are strontiodresserite and celestine. They growed simultaneously so we can find strontiodresserite balls included into celestine crystals. Because of the soil, the strontiodresserite balls are looking pasty and are bad quality. Celestine crystals are better quality, translucent, grey-blue, especially when wet, however the soil is embedded in some crystals or between them, in the terminal phase of their growth. These crystals are looking locally dirty.
This piece is not an exceptional piece by the quality, but it is with the association of two strontium minerals, the crystallyzed surface area for this deposit and the size of some celestine crystals (about 1 x 0.8 x 0.5 cm).
Photo n° 2 shows a strontiodresserite ball partially included in a celestine crystal.
Photo n° 3 shows another strontiodresserrite ball partially included in a celestine crystal; we can also see on the others celestine crystals some ghosts of white strontiodresserite balls. This is the same for photo n° 5.
Photo n° 4 shows the radius of a broken strontiodresserrite.
Photo n° 6 shows pasty strontiodresserite balls.
Photo n° 7 shows celestine crystals as part of the crystallized surface area.
Photos n° 8 and 9 show details of photo n° 7.
