Description

A mining chisel (german: Bergeisen) which has been used in the Freiberg district up to 1850. Strongly rusted by the acidic influence of the underground water but in good condition, considering the age. Good recognizable is the "eye" where the wooden stick has been introduced. Very seldom and looks very  good in the mineral show case inbetween specimens.
