A piece of altered limestone with a multiple veins of pyrargyrite, silver, acanthite, quartz, sphalerite and other silver sulphides running through it. The pyrargyrite from this location turns dark very quickly. When first exposed it is a nice ruby colour and then the next time you look at it it's black. The silver may be hard to see but the piece sets off the metal detector. From this closed former silver producer near Lightning Peak.
