Doubly terminated quartz crystal with a forest of deep blue dumortierite needles at its base. Close-up images show their density and shape. Few tiny dumortierite crystals are included near the crystal surface with visible fluid inclusions adopting a characteristic negative crystal shape. A close look at the crystal base covered with dumortierite reveals a heart-shaped quartz host surrounded by numerous blue crystals. The quartz is not completely transparent in the middle, but shows nice transparency at its upper termination.
