Fine specimen completely of black massive albertite. Albertite is a variety of pyrobitumen, which is assigned to the mineral asphalt. Large specimen size including an old label as shown.

Albertite is only known from a few localities worldwide.

The specimen comes from the collection of Dr. G. Jung, who received it from Shulman in 1977.
