Description

First class specimen which is completely overgrown with pink smithsonite crystals. The entire specimen shows a beautiful pink smithsonite setting on the front and back and is complete all around WITHOUT damage. A perfectly formed specimen of very high quality and a remarkable specimen size of 8 centimetre in length.

Comes with an additional label as shown.

Important note: The specimens are from the renowned collection of Dr. Gerhard JUNG (Hagendorf specialist, after whom the mineral Jungite was named). Dr. Jung was very meticulous regarding the provenance of his pieces. The previous owner is often noted - it is noticeable that Dr. Jung apparently had good contacts with the famous Tsumeb collectors Walter Richard KAHN (Warikahnite) and Wolfgang BARTELKE (Bartelkeite) from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. Many of the pieces originally came from the hands of the aforementioned pioneers. The specimens of the JUNG collection with first-class and documented provenience are presented here.
