Description

Here we have a group of andradite "rainbow garnets" from the well known locality at Tenkawa Village on Honshu Island in Japan. This location is now protected from collecting. The stones display different features, some have a lustrous metallic-like coating and others just show a flash when moved in the light. The largest one has the weakest display showing a golden colour.  The largest is 10 x 5 x 5 mm, the second is 7 x 5 x 5 mm, the third is 5 x 5 x 3 mm and the smallest is 3.5  x 3.0 x 2.0 mm approximately.
