George Fletcher lives, worked and collected a lot in the Derbyshire, Peak distrct however as a prolific collector travelled all over the UK and amassed a huge collection of UK and Worldwide minerals over nearly 40 years of collecting.
The main collection was sold in 2007 to Thames Valley Minerals/Broadstone minerals, however many of his specimens can be found from other dealing and swapping done down the years.
The collection has been meticulously curated, each piece with a hand written label and copied into three large detailed ledgers.
