Related to but outside the montgomeryite group, fanfaniite another mineral of this type discovered at the same time, is a member of the group.
Aniyunwiyaite is the triclinic ‘analogue’ of kingsmountite, with ordered Fe and Mn on the Ca site. The mineral came from one boulder on the dumps, and all the samples analyzed from that find proved to be triclinic. During this study another new species, fanfaniite, was described, which is the Mn analogue of monoclinic kingsmountite.
Stoichiometrically/chemically but not structurally a Ca3Mn analogue of kingsmountite (not a true analogue).
