Description

Undamaged brown zircon crystal with very good lustre, definition of faces, and quite exposed on a matrix of white microcline and quartz. The visible part surpass 15 mm, with prism {100} modified by the tetragonal dipyramids {101} and minor {301}.

Acquired in 1981, the specimen is from the stock of Georges Vanacker* (BE).

*Vanackerite (from Tsumeb) is named after him.
