Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Potoj Cuka, Žagubica, Bor District, Central Serbia, Serbia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.8 × 4.5 × 3.3 cm
Description

An old specimen from former Yugoslavia: this Serbian vesuvianite - although the crystallization isn´t the most splendid - is very interesting because of its bright yellowish-canary-greenish colour.

Also the skarns of the Ptoj Cuka area (within the Timok Magmatic Complex) aren´t that known so this is a rarer example (still no mindat entry of the locality). The area was recently explored for limestone hosted gold mineralization.
