Polished epoxy microprobe 17.6 x 15 x 1.7 mm preparate containing a 0.5 mm shiny metallic grain of pure, analyticaly confirmed by microprobe, native TUNGSTEN, one of the rarest native elements, known only from a few localities worldwide.

You will receive SEM photo with marked place of analyze and EDX spectrum (see photo). Presence of oxygen in the analysis is due to surrounding glue and plastic window of the detector.  Analysis performed by Pavel Kartashov.

This material was extracted in 2006 from heavy and very big (60 tons) concentrates of quartz vein Nº91 at southern slope of Dodo Mt., Prepolar Ural, Khanty-Mansi okrug, Tyumen oblast', Russia.

Very limited number of grains of native Tungsten from this find survive up to now. The vast majority of the grains was thrown out because nobody was able to imagine, that these "arsenopyrite" grains turned out to be native Tungsten !!.

The type locality for Tungsten is located some km Eastern from this quartz vein Nº91, in gold placers of Bol'shata Pol'ya river. So, it is very probable that the initial source of Tungsten be in river placers of Dodo Mt. slopes.

Type material from Bol'shaya Pol'ya placers is impregnated by microscopic inclusions of Yttrialite-(Y). In difference from the type material, Tungsten from this find in vein Nº91 is absolutely pure.

Native Tungsten is a relatively new mineral, since it was approced by the IMA as recently as 2011   (IMA 2011-004).

Don 't miss the opportunity to get this very sought after element, in an analytically confirmed specimen , almost never seen in the mineral market !
