Description

This purple variety of tremolite, that is coloured by manganese, is called hexagonite, was found at the Edwards area, St. Lawrence Co., and shows some ultraviolet response under short UV. Old specimen, accompanied by four original labels, one handwritten from “Les Fils D’Emile Deyrolle that dates back before 1937.

Other original label is from the “Ward's Natural Science Rochester NY”, dated back around 1915-1925 (according to Wilson, W.E (2021): “Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive at Mineralogical Record”. The other two labels written in Italian.
