Description

Piece of crystalline tremolite, white with silky luster.

Comes with hand-written label of Augustin Alexis Damour (1808-1902), an important french mineralogist, and on-glued corresponding number sticker. His personal mineral collection was sold to F. Krantz (who was in charge of the Krantz mineral dealership between 1891 and 1926), probably shortly after his death.
The label in french language means: "Trémolite - d' Easton - Comté de Pennsylvania - Etats-Unies" (Tremolite from Easton, County Pennsylvania - United States)
