Description

You are bidding on a small sample with a spray of thomsonite blades partially in and on pink axinite-Mn. Thomsonite is extremely rare from Franklin and this is a sample from the Alice Kraissl collection. The crystals are absolutely transparent and nearly impossible to photograph. 

This specimen is from the Steven Phillips collection of Franklin District micromounts and rarities curated by Vandall King, and features specimens from a multitude of well-known collectors of the locality including Alice Kraissl, Russ DeRoo, Dave Cook, Van King and others. Many of these samples may be featured in photos in the upcoming three volume series of books being compiled by Vandall King.
