Smithsonite On Fluorite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Agios Konstantinos, Lavrion District, Attiki Prefecture, Greece
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5 × 3.5 × 2.5 cm
Description

This is the only piece I have seen from a small pocket of pseudo smithsonite over fluorite with this intense color! All the other pieces had white color on the smithsonite crystals-yes,they are micro crystals, not botryoidal formation. The crystals have great luster and the main part of the specimen is pristine, the rest is marginal contacting. I assume a smaller perfect specimen can be trimmed out of it.
