Description

You are bidding on a small sample with a massive layered intermixing of rammelsbergite with a rind of skutterudite near the vugs. The vugs are lined with small quartz crystals and minute balls of erythrite. Extremely rare, and well-documented occurence collected in the 1890s. This specimen is from the Steven Phillips collection of Franklin District micromounts and rarities curated by Vandall King, and features specimens from a multitude of well-known collectors of the locality including Alice Kraissl, Russ DeRoo, Dave Cook, Van King and others. Many of these samples may be featured in photos in the upcoming three volume series of books being compiled by Vandall King.
