Description

Rare specimen of chalcocite from the Clark mine. Perfect jet black crystals are formed on the typical epidote and calcite rich matrix. The crystals are well formed, with numerous faces, and one of them even shows a partially hoppered face. Associated, a dark grey native silver wire on the very top of the specimen.
Of exceptionally good quality for the Clark mine, this is a very interesting paragenesis as well. The specimen comes on an acrylic plynth with a small tack drop, which can be easily removed. The specimen comes from a Swiss collection we have recently acquired, and it is most certainly dated to the 70s.
