Description

This is possibly the most infrequent specimen I have available in this auction. It features pseudo-octahedral, tetragonal bipyramidal scheelite crystals and crystal sections that reach 12 mm, in a block of sulphides with galena and pyrite. It is extremely fluorescent in bluish-white in short ultraviolet illumination of light.

With an old label that reads Grua, probably from the Skjerpemyr Mine, this is the only piece from the Sibtsen collection, who bought it while he was living in Norway, between 1975 and 1977.

Ex Jan Sibtsen #1962.
