Description

Very hard to find are these historical French specimens from the Sainte Marie-aux-Mines district. This features pink masses of sainfeldite on a thick crust of white crystallized pharmacolite, that grew on a grey metallic matrix. According the associated label it was collected at the Sankt Jakob vein, where sainfieldite was found and described for the first time at the Gabe Gottes Mine.

Acquired in 1985, it is an Ex. Dr. Bob Janssens specimen, #1860.
