Description

A multiply twinned dark reddish-brown to blackish rutile crystal aggregate with slightly worn edges from the Krantz stock. The acompanying label states an "eightling" of rutile from Meiaponte (Meia Ponte river, Goias, Brazil). I am not sure a) if it is an eightling and therefore b) if the label belongs to the specimen. So the provenance of the specimen must be treated with a bit of caution. Similar to Diamantina rutile specimens.
