Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Großkogel, St Gertraudi, Kufstein District, Carinthia, Austria
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.7 × 6.6 × 4.3 cm
Description

A specimen out from an alpine cleft in green shists. The faces are very glossy with beautiful structure. The crystals are set attractively on matrix. All - matrix and crystals - show a touch of green color, caused by green-shists inclusions (not chlorite at all). Großglockner (highest mountain of Austria Alps) is a very special area - digging is prohibited. In opposite to national parks (where local collectors het permits for diiging), Glockner is a complete closed area. Not even local collectors can dig there. There is nearly nothing on the market, and if only from very old discoveries. Really hard to obtain, very rare material.
