Description

The now defunct Ashton Quarry is undoubtably the premier Australian locality for rock crystal specimens. The crystals formed in fractures in the quartzite rock being extracted for local aggregate. Some were up to 1 metre long.

This miniature is perfect and features a large single crystal surrounded at the base by smaller ones. It sits well for display. All crystals are terminated and there is no damage.
