Rich specimen of coarse metallic alabandite in carbonatic matrix. Alabandite shows numerous partial crystals of very dark color with moderate lustre. Within the white carbonate, a small geode of pink crystalline rhodochrosite is well visible. Locally, some smaller brighter metal patches are to be possibly connected to galena.
Very rich and unusual to find on the market. It could be etched to expose further crystals.
It comes with an excellent British pedigree.
