Description

Labeled to be from Branik near Prague, this nice oldie features greyish calcite var cannon spar on one side and smaller whiteish calcite crystals on the back side, on a thin matrix covered with white quartz crystals. The cannon spar exhibits a faint reddish LW UV fluorescence while the calcite on the backside gives a brighter pinkish reddish fluorescence. In the literature the locality is described to be an old quarry.
