Description

The specimen hosts a star-shaped aggregate of striated cassiterite crystals, embedded in white quartz, accompanied by some golden pyrite cubes.

A rare cassiterite specimen from an unknown, formerly finnish locale; the area is close to the border but belongs to russia since WW II. Cassiterite specimens are rare from any of the numerous Finnish localities, and this one is really nice.

Comes with old, stamp-like typewriter label.
