Baryte & Pyrite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Cerro Warihuyn, Miraflores, Huamalíes Province, Huánuco Department, Peru
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
4 × 6.5 × 2 cm
Description

Very nice and undamaged cluster of tabular and lustrous grayish barite crystals overgrown by drusey pyrite. I obtained this specimen as a new 2005 find from Hunazala mine.

Never saw this kind from there before so I contacted some Peru collectors who told me that it is much more probable that it is from Cerro Warihuyn.
