The Netherlands, a country with only a few minerals available. This specimen comes from the ratum quarry, internationally seen the most known location but specimens come rarely available.

This very nice larger specimen has the limestone matrix typical for this location, on one side it is richely filled with vugs containing lots and lots of crystals of celestine and calcite. The celestine xls are clear, they have a very fine luster and a slightly rosé tinte. They are accompanied with lots of double ended as well as single calcite crystals. They are white in the middle with a more clear xl tip, they have a a strong shape and nice waxy luster. On the limestone you can find little pyrite

A fine combination piece from a rare location
