Description

Japanese minerals, particularly the older classics, are increasingly hard to obtain. This is a special "specimen": a small carton box is filled with dozens of mostly sharp well developed former pyrite cubes and modified cubes. The surface of the pyrite is totally oxidised to limonite, most of the pyrites seem to have been totally replaced. Comes with an old label which could be from J. Sasamoto. Specimen comes out of the Krantz stock in Bonn / GER - this is rare old and classic material, seldom available. Size is for the box, the crystals are from approx 5 mm to approx 2 cm diameter.
