Description

A most unusual specimen from the classic Mount Hope Copper Mine, this specimen is old and was acquired with the Jose Rees Collection that was packed away in the mid 1970's.

The base of the specimen is a solid band of pseundomalachite over which botyroidal malachite has formed. The malachite has opened into a large cavity which is lined with velvety malachite crystals over a botyroidal base.
