Description

An approx. 3 cm wide crack within a gneiss is filled with pale green prehnite. Within the prehnite filling two cavities can be observed, one, about 1 cm in size, is filled with beautiful small dark red coloured crystals of piemontite. There are also numerous red piemontite crystals spread over the whole specimen. The specimen was found in connection with the construction of a power plant.
