Description

Purple ellenbergerite, black rutile, colorless pyrope, talc and phengite. Ellenbergerite is a very rare mineral, only known from the type locality. Purplish ellenbergerite in a pyrope-phengite-quartzite metaclastite, potentially coesite-bearing. Origin in 100 km depth, formed under high pressure at a temperature from 700 to 800° Celsius.
