Description

The "Aguablanca" nickel mine is a nickel sulphide mine, which produces nickel, copper and PGM concentrate. The deposit is in a subvertical magmatic gap and its main minerals are pyrrotite, pentlandite and chalcopyrite. The sample we show is a piece of pentlandite, one of the most important nickel minerals and a primary mineral in many ultramafic rocks, has a metallic luster, a yellow bronze color and has an isometric crystalline system.
