Description

A sharp and beautifully twinned orthoclase crystal collected from the cliffs above Killiecrankie Bay in the early 1980's. This area is best known for the waterworn topaz that can be collected from the gravels on the beach at Killicrankie. Very occassionally topaz and orthoclase crystals are recovered from the cliff faces that border the bay and are the source of the topaz found on the beach
