Description

Years ago I had a sub-collection of Mexican minerals and I have to say that I never had such a good Wulfenite - the thin plate of light matrix is powdered with greenish-yellow Mottramite. On it you can see free-standing Wulfenite crystals up to 20mm on edges and 23 across. The main crystal is even 7mm thick and completely free-standing. All crystals and all their faces show the highest possible luster you an imagine and the color is this most intense orange. The contrast of the bevelled dull green-yellow Mottramite layer to these sparkling intense orange Wulfenite crystals is pure eye-candy. The specimen is in excellent condition - the main crystals are undamaged, only the two tiny crystals along the edges of the piece to the right hand side where the piece had been extracted are broken. Well balanced and very aesthetic!
