Description

Old and uncommon, very rare to see in the market is this piece of molybdite from Shinkolobwe. It features yellow crusts of molybdite filling the cracks of the matrix.

It is the specimen number 46 of a small collection that Mr. Moors had with some key representative pieces from the Ex. Belgian Congo. The old label reads “molybdenite” but it is clearly molybdite.

Ex. Achiel Moors, a Belgian colonist in the D.R. Congo from 1957 to 1972.
