Description

A nice sample from the Kvinesdal Mine that is located about 1.5 km NNE of the known Knaben I Mine and that was operated intermittently in the first half of the 20th century: several good crystals of molybdenite are set on a matrix of quartz with some biotite. The specimen is followed by a second one in the same box, also good crystalized.

The samples originate from the collection of the famous Swedish mineralogist Harry von Eckermann († 1969, the mineral Eckermannite is named after him) and are followed by an original label bonded in a cardboard box.
