The minium in this specimen occurs as a series of brilliant orange red flames across the surface of a red brown siliceous matrix.

This sample from the North Mine at broken Hill, Australia has a large amount of the secondary lead ore and coming from the oxidized zone of this old and famous locality one can not expect any more production of new specimens.
