Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States of America
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.1 × 2 × 2 cm
Description

A most unusual red twinned microcline specimen from the Wausau granites district. The crystals are sharp and well formed with a rich and lively colour. I must admit when I first saw this specimen I thought it was a Moroccoan vanadinite, did a double take when I saw the label and then looked properly.
