Description

Piece of drusy quartzite rock, the vugs are lined with a lawn of quartz crystals. On the quartz crystals, in some areas, there is a fine netting of grey to blue-tarnished, hairlike crystals of so-called "Zundererz". "Zundererz" is an old designation for jamesonite ± stibnite ± metastibnite ± pyrargyrite, Dana 7th I, 454 (1944).

Comes with a rare antique label of Ingenieur E. A. Prasse, who was active in the late 19th century. Prasse coauthored a guide of the saxon-bohemian Erzgebirge by Prof. Bruno Berlet. Unfortunately no more information is available about him so far. The label means: "Zundererz - Massa Carrara - Carrara [18]89".
