Description

The melkovite is a very rare mineral, found only in two other locality in addition to that of Su Seinargiu and this is the first time that I see with visible shape its microcrystals. As far as I know they are not documented findings with clearly visible crystals, in the article by W.D. Birch, A. Pring & K. Wallwork (2002) Mendozavilite from the Fitzgerald River District, Western Australia, Australian Journal of Mineralogy, 8, 11-15. there are some pictures but the only ones where the form is visible are those made with the SEM, in this article it was still called mendozavilite because it's written prior to the group reclassification. I apologize, unfortunately my photos are out of focus, and not only this time.
