Description

This specimen consists of a liberal scattering of large black Magnetite octahedron over a pale cream micaceous matrix giving a very strong and aesthetically pleasing effect. The crystals are dominated by one particularly large octahedron.

The magnetite crystals are of particular appeal and are exceptionally well formed and preserved.

This is an ideal specimen both the species or crystallographic specialist.

The sample comes from the increasingly important Gascoyne Mineral Field, Western Australia.
