Stilbite With Laumontite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Dinnertime Hill, Arkaroola District, Flinders Ranges, South Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12 × 8.6 × 4.9 cm
Description

This stunning cabinet specimen caught my eye at a recent Adelaide mineral show. It displays a complete face of the deepest orange stilbite I have ever seen, totaly covering a weathered volcanic matrix.

This is further enhanced with a springling of snow white laumontite crystals up to 4 mm long across the specimen. In pristine condition.
